Do you know what the American Cancer Society (ACS) is about? This non-profit organization is in charge of funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about Cancer prevention.
Every October, Pacific BMW observes “Denim Day” to fundraise and support the ACS campaign for women with breast cancer. As you know, this disease is very serious. As listed on the Crowdrise.com, mortality rates have dropped 40% among women since 1989, but this year about 268,600 American women are expected to be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, and 41,760 women are expected to die from the disease.
Together we can make a difference, that’s why our kind employees raised $500.00 to help fuel the fight against breast cancer. Since more than a decade ago, Pacific BMW employees have contributed to the ACS Denim Day Campaign. Through every donation, we have helped ACS support breast cancer programs and research for a lot of women. Plus all employees who donated money for this campaign got to wear jeans to work with a BMW polo or pink shirt. This dress-up hoped to also arise others to notice and learn about Breast Cancer.
